Single Supplement
- There will be a supplement of 50% on the per person sharing rate for single accommodation.
- During the months of May & June there will be no single supplement.
Children
- Children under 2 years are accommodated on a complimentary basis
- Children 2-5 years will pay 25% of the adult rate when sharing with the two parents
- Children 6-11 years will pay 50% of the adult rate when sharing with the two parents
- Please note children under the age of 6 years will not be permitted on game drives
- Children between the age of 6 & 12 years are permitted on drives at the discretion of the game ranger

About Thornybush Waterside Lodge
Set on the banks of a tranquil lake encompassed with breath-taking views of the African bushveld, Thornybush Waterside Lodge affords instant relaxation.
The lodges 20 comfortably appointed air-conditioned Thatched Suites blend into the natural habitat and are located along pathways surrounded by an abundance of trees and manicured gardens. En-suite air- conditioned accommodation tastefully decorated by crisp white bedding.
Highly skilled rangers’ and trackers ensure Big 5 game viewing opportunities during dawn and dusk safaris, whilst bushwalks are for the more adventurous. Guests are invited to relax and take in the African surrounds after breakfast on the main deck area overlooking the lake, the swimming pool or alternatively retreat to the comfort of your suite.
Thornybush Waterside Lodge will from mid-January 2012 have access to an even greater Reserve making game viewing some of the best in the Country.

Directions
From Johannesburg to Thornybush Waterside Lodge
- The N12 to Emalahleni (Witbank), where the N12 highway links up with the N4 highway
- Continue with the N4 in the direction Mbombela (Nelspruit).
- Approximately 60 km past Middleburg take the R 540 to your left.
- Travel though the towns of eMakhazeni (Belfast) and eMnotweni (Dullstroom) to Mashishing (Lydenburg)
- Take the R 36 (which becomes the R 527) towards Hoedspruit, passing through Origstad and descending down the Able Erasmus Pass
- At Hoedspruit take the R 40 south (to the right) towards Bushbuckridge
- Continue 6 km and turn left at the Eastgate Airport sign / Argyle Road
- Continue 14 km (tarred road) and turn right onto Guernsey Road (following the signs to Thornybush Reserve)
- Continue 9km (gravel road) passing Thornybush Game Reserve Gate on left
- Continue a further 2km and turn left at Thornybush Waterside Lodge gate and continue as directed to the lodge
