About Fancourt
Positioned on 620 hectares in the magnificent Garden Route, just outside George, Fancourt is South Africa’s premier lifestyle estate with mountains, indigenous forests and the warm Indian Ocean in close proximity. 135 luxury rooms, fantastic family facilities, three Gary Player designed golf courses, a Spa, a Kids Club and a variety of restaurants guarantee enjoyment.
The Fancourt hair salon, ladies boutique, jewellery store, two Golf Pro Shops, tennis courts, indoor and outdoor swimming pools, fishing dams and walking trails provide guests with luxurious and exciting entertainment.
Glorious swimming beaches are easily accessible and mountain biking, horse riding, picnics and hikes can be arranged on request. Sightseeing excursions in the picturesque coastal towns of Knysna, Plettenberg Bay and Mossel Bay are also available.
Fancourt’s reputation is internationally esteemed after hosting the Presidents Cup in 2003, Nelson Mandela’s 46664 concert in 2005 and Japan’s football team for the 2010 FIFA World Cup.
Fancourt has six distinctive real estate products: The white-walled, green-roofed Colonial Lodges line the Montagu fairways, Cape Dutch houses charm with their thatched roofs and Oaklands; adjacent to the Outeniqua course, recalls a French Provencal Village. The exclusive Links Ridge development incorporates sweeping vistas of The Links course and adjoining parkland. Links Avenue, with just nine properties enjoying this private address, is the most exclusive development of the estate, whilst Fancourt’s newest development: The Montagu Ridge Houses and fractional-title villas overlook the Montagu course.

La Cantina
La Cantina offers the whole family a taste of the Mediterranean with a traditional Italian menu that ranges from pastas to succulent steaks. In addition to this, a full buffet breakfast is served daily to ensure that the warm and inviting atmosphere is not just limited to the evening diner.
Club Lounge

Montagu Bar and Library

A large selection of whisky, cognac and liqueurs are kept on hand to tempt even the most serious reader. An original fireplace forms the centrepiece of the library with large leather wingback chairs and a writing desk adding to the ambience.
