Getting There
Directions:
1. Begin in Johannesburg and take the N12 (eastbound) from the city (for example via the R23 towards Boksburg then join N12).
2. Continue on the N12 until it merges or links with the N4 (toward Witbank / Emalahleni).
3. Stay on the N4 heading east towards Nelspruit / Mbombela.
4. At the off-ramp for Belfast / eMakhazeni, leave the N4 and take the stretch into Belfast.
5. From Belfast drive via Dullstroom, then Mashishing (Lydenburg), following R36 (via the Abel Erasmus Pass and the JG Strijdom Tunnel) towards the Lowveld.
6. After emerging from the escarpment, you head toward Hoedspruit—when in town, turn right at the 4-way stop onto the R40 toward Phalaborwa / Klaserie.
7. From Hoedspruit continue on the R40 for approximately 17 km until you reach the Olifants West Gate (or whichever gate you use for your lodge in Maseke/Balule).
8. After the gate, follow lodge access signage / internal roads inside the reserve to reach 18 on the Hill in the Maseke section.
