Multiple daily scheduled flights to Eastgate / Hoedspruit Airport (Airlink, CemAir and FlySafair), followed by an easy 15-minute road transfer to the lodge.

Bush walks are open to young adults 16 years and older and will be at the Lodge Manager’s or trails guides discretion and is dependent on the age and potential fitness levels of the guests.

Khaya Ndlovu Safari Manor is an intimate, family-owned safari lodge nestled within the Rietspruit Big 5 Game Reserve near Hoedspruit. Originally built as a private home, the manor has evolved into a charming safari retreat that seamlessly blends old-world elegance with authentic bushveld living.
Renowned for one of the best views in Hoedspruit, the lodge features an iconic rim-flow pool overlooking an active waterhole, with the Klein Drakensberg Mountains providing a breathtaking backdrop. Getting There
ROUTE 1
Johannesburg to Hoedspruit via Belfast / Dullstroom / Lydenburg
Approx. distance: ± 450 km | Estimated travel time: 5–6 hours
*This is the more scenic route but note that road conditions can be uneven
Head north on R24 toward N12: Follow signs to N12 East toward Pretoria.
Merge onto N12 East: Continue for about 40 km, heading toward eMalahleni (Witbank).
Take the R540 to Dullstroom: Exit onto R540 (± 45 km).
Follow R540 through the Highveld to Dullstroom (± 60 km from N12).
From Dullstroom, continue on R540 for ± 22 km to Lydenburg.
From Lydenburg, take R36 toward Hoedspruit (± 100 km), passing through Abel Erasmus Pass.
At Hoedspruit, take R40 North toward Phalaborwa.
After ± 4 km, turn left onto Khaya Ndlovu Manor Road (signposted).
Continue straight for ± 3 km until you reach the Khaya Ndlovu Safari Manor gate.
ROUTE 2
OR Tambo International Airport → Hoedspruit via N1, Tzaneen, Gravelotte, and Mica
Approx. distance: ± 530 km | Estimated travel time: 6–6.5 hours
*This route is slightly longer but mostly dual carriageway, making it smoother and easier
Exit OR Tambo International Airport and follow signs for R24 toward Johannesburg.
Take the exit toward N12 East (Witbank/eMalahleni) then merge onto N12 East.
Continue on N12 East for about 20 km until you reach the N1 interchange.
Merge onto N1 North toward Polokwane and continue for about 60 km.
Take the R37 exit toward Tzaneen, following signs to Tzaneen.
After passing Tzaneen, continue south on R36 for about 35 km, going through Gravelotte.
From Gravelotte, continue south on R36 for about 25 km, then turn right at the T-junction onto R40.
Continue south on R40 toward Hoedspruit for approximately 30 km.
At Hoedspruit, take R40 North toward Phalaborwa.
After ± 4 km, turn left onto Khaya Ndlovu Manor Road (signposted).
Continue straight for ± 3 km until you reach the Khaya Ndlovu Safari Manor gate.
