The reserve is malaria-free and supports more than 35 wildlife species, including white rhino, Cape buffalo, cheetah, giraffe, hippo, roan antelope, sable, mountain zebra and a rich range of nocturnal species and birdlife. Lion introduction is scheduled for December 2026.
