Getting There
Travelling by Air:
Limpopo Valley Airfield is an international airport situated within Mashatu Game Reserve, making it efficient & accessible to fly directly into the reserve without having to land elsewhere to clear customs into Botswana.
SA Airlink flight to Polokwane Airport, and self-drive from Polokwane Airport to Pont Drift Border Post.
Travelling by Road: Travelling to Mashatu via road is a fun adventure, approx. 6.5 hours from Johannesburg and 2 hours from Polokwane Airport.
Please note that Pont Drift Border opens at 08:00 and closes at 16:00. Please try to arrive early. A guide will be waiting for your arrival to assist you. You will need a valid passport to enter Botswana.

Fika Futi offers an immersive and rustic safari experience at one of the most unique locations in Botswana – close to the historically significant Tuli Circle where the borders of Botswana and Zimbabwe meet. Mashatu highlights that the environment around Fika Futi is truly wild and unfenced.
Game drives from Fika Futi traverse an area more than 10 000 ha within the unfenced Northern Tuli Game Reserve, adjacent to the core area of Mashatu, and home to WalkMashatu.
Guests can expect the unexpected – wildlife sightings and incredible birding from the look-out deck, an intimate and flexible safari experience, surrounded by rich wildlife and natural beauty, exploring the upper regions of both the Majale and Matabole Rivers.

Fika Futi is situated within the Mashatu Game Reserve, part of the Northern Tuli Game Reserve in Botswana, near the border with Zimbabwe and South Africa. The camp is housed in a renovated old farmhouse surrounded by bushveld and diverse wildlife, providing a tranquil and immersive environment for guests. The reserve itself is renowned for its abundant game, including elephants, lions, leopards, cheetahs, giraffes, and various antelope species.
