About Pilanesberg National Park
Experience the Black Rhino Game Reserve with the Big 5 in a malaria-free environment.
Black Rhino Reserve embodies beauty, elegance, nature, peace, and architecture.
Black Rhino is a private game reserve located within the Pilanesberg National Park on the North Western side. The reserve’s lower lying area features sweet veld vegetation that beautifully contrasts with the Pilanesberg’s mostly mixed sour veld. This particular habitat is home to a diverse range of game species, with frequent sightings of elephant, black rhino, white rhino, buffalo, lion, and leopard.

Additional Activities
With an area of 55,000 hectares, the Pilanesberg National Park is adjacent to the Sun City entertainment complex. This destination boasts a 1200 million-year old volcano crater with Mankwe Lake in the centre, making it truly remarkable. Due to its location between the Kalahari and Lowveld, the vegetation from both regions can be found in this area.
Specialising in the Pilanesberg National Park, you can find almost all the animal species native to southern Africa, including the big five, wild dog, and rarer species like Roan, Tsessebe, and Sable antelope. With a variety of picnic spots, game hides, an aviary, safari drives, and hot air balloon rides, the Park has plenty to offer.
