- Children of all ages are welcome at Mohlabetsi Safari Lodge.
- Children 0 -11 years old will be charged 50% of the adult sharing rate when sharing with 2 full paying adults in a Rondawel or the Family Unit. Maximum number of children per room: One child in a Rondawel & up to 4 children in the Family Units.
- Children are not accommodated in the Luxury Suite.
- Children of all ages are welcome on game drives safaris, at management’s discretion – (as long as they can sit quietly through a 3 hour drive)
About Mohlabetsi Safari Lodge
Small intimate Lodge with only 23 beds. Guests are assured of serenity and unobtrusive attention and an intimate experience with nature. Come and connect with the African Spirit here. The Lodge is easily accessible, yet one enters an entirely different world once inside the camp. Life slows down to the rhythms of nature and the rising and setting of the sun dictates our movements. The emphasis here is on close-up encounters with Africa’s spectacular wildlife, from the mighty elephant, the impressive lion through the minuscule termite. Paired with this, is the assurance of your comfort in this luxury establishment decorated in true South African style. Families are welcome! 6 Rondawels – each featuring a twin or double bed. An extra bed can be set up for families with one child or three guests travelling together, wanting to save on the single supplement.
2 Family Units – each featuring two rooms with their own en suite facilities and entrances with an inter-leading door.
1 Luxury Suite – featuring its own private plunge pool, inside and outside showers as well as a free-standing bath.

Balule is around 50 000 hectares and we traverse on 12 000 hectares.
Off-road is allowed on most of the property which creates great sightings.
Balule is well known for its lion sightings.

Getting There
From Johannesburg take the N12
From Pretoria take the N4 towards eMalahleni (Witbank)
- N12 joins the N4 at eMalahleni (Witbank) and continue to Belfast.
- At Belfast take the R540 to Dullstroom & Mashishing (Lydenburg).
- The road deteriorates from here with many potholes. Please drive carefully!
- Continue through Mashishing (Lydenburg) and towards Ohrigstad along the R36.
- Pass through the Abel Erasmus Pass and through the JG Strydom Tunnel towards Hoedspruit along the R527.
- At Hoedspruit the R527 will intersect with the R40.
- Turn left and travel along the R530 (R40) for 10kms and turn right at the Mohlabetsi signboard.
- Enter the manned security gates – travel 7kms and drive straight into the camp, where a warm welcome awaits you.
