The magnificent Franschhoek valley offers world-class wine estates, tasting and cellar tours. Nestled between towering mountains and beautiful vineyards, the picturesque traditional French village hosts some of the best cuisine from internationally recognized gourmet chefs. There is a choice of over 30 different venues to wine and dine.
The valley is idyllically situated for walking trails, hiking, cycling, bird watching, horse-riding and fly-fishing. There are also many championship golf courses close by.
Last Word Franschhoek is beautifully restored in the Cape Huguenot tradition, sumptuous home comforts, elegant interior with a mixture of classic and contemporary furnishings. A wooden decked balcony affords spectacular views over the mountains, the perfect place to relax with a sundowner or just relax around the pool.
There are six luxurious rooms, four superior doubles which open onto private patio gardens, two pool suites with a pool and courtyard area. All have en-suite bathrooms.

Getting There
FROM CAPE TOWN INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT
If you are travelling on the N2 continue straight to Somerset West
From there you take the R44 which will lead you straight into Stellenbosch
Once in Stellenbosch take the R310
Continue on the R310 to Franschhoek travelling over the Hels Hoogte pass and through the small town of Pniel
At the T-junction turn right on to the R45 to Franschhoek (this road will lead you directly into the town)
Last Word Franschhoek is on the right hand side opposite the BICCCS in the main road
FROM THE R60
If you are travelling on the R60 continue straight to Worcester
Take the N1 to Paarl (through the Huguenot Tunnel)
Once in Paarl you can take the R45 or R301 which leads you straight to Franschhoek
