- Safaris are open to participants aged 12 to 70.
- Anyone over 70 is invited to take part provided they supply a doctor’s note confirming they are fit enough for the Safari. This ensures a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone.
- For insurance purposes, children under 12 are unable to join the Safaris. However, families can be accommodated by offering alternative activities for younger guests where possible. Please contact us to discuss suitable options.

- Participants must be in good physical health, with no ankle issues that could impede walking.

4-day walking trails with Tsala Trails. For this experience guest will be based in the Selati Game reserve in Limpopo, at their Selati Game Reserve camp.
The Camp is a serene bushveld retreat nestled within the expansive Selati Game Reserve. This exclusive tented camp, consciously designed to minimise environmental impact, offers a unique sanctuary beneath the majestic canopy of a Sycamore Fig Tree.
Two en-suite safari tents, ensure a personal and undisturbed experience, allowing you to fully immerse yourself in the tranquil beauty of your surroundings for an authentic wilderness encounter.

About Selati Game Reserve
The Selati Game Reserve, situated in Limpopo province adjacent to the Greater Kruger National Park on its southern border, was established in 1993 through a common vision by likeminded landowners who came together to create a private conservancy underpinned by the current vision of the Reserve, namely: ‘to create an enduring legacy by conserving and enhancing the biodiversity of the ecosystem through the astute and sustainable management of its resources’.
Some thirty years later, this 28,000-hectare wilderness area has developed into a unique Big Five private game reserve that recently opened its doors to the public through the introduction of commercial eco-tourism offerings.

Getting There
Recommended Route: Johannesburg – Dullstroom- Lydenburg- Ohrigstad-Tzaneen/Hoedspruit – Selati.
Step-by-step directions:
Leave Johannesburg on the N12/N4 eastbound toward eMalahleni (Witbank)
Continue past Middelburg
Take the R33 Belfast/eMakhazeni turnoff from the N4
From Belfast, take the R540 to Dullstroom
Continue on the R540 to Lydenburg (Mashishing)
In Lydenburg:
Join the R36 north toward Ohrigstad.
Continue over the spectacular Abel Erasmus Pass and through the Strijdom Tunnel toward Hoedspruit.
At Hoedspruit:
Continue north on the R40 toward Phalaborwa/Tzaneen
Near Mica/Sameys:
Turn left onto the R526 toward Gravelotte/Tzaneen
Continue about 23 km to the Selati Game Reserve entrance on the right-hand side
Approximate Drive Time
Johannesburg- Dullstroom: approx. 3 hours
Dullstroom – Hoedspruit: approx. 3 hours
Hoedspruit – Selati: approx. 1 hour
Total: approximately 6 to 7 hours depending on stops and roadworks.
Recommended Stops
Dullstroom — ideal breakfast or lunch stop.
Hoedspruit — last major fuel/supplies stop before Selati.
Important Notes
The route via Dullstroom and Lydenburg is beautiful but can have potholes in sections, especially around Lydenburg.
Avoid driving this section after dark if possible.
Mist can be heavy around Dullstroom during winter mornings.
Normal SUVs and standard cars are generally fine in dry conditions.
