About Xidulu Safari Lodge
Nestled in the pristine Greater Makalali Nature Reserve, just west of the Kruger National Park, Xidulu is an exclusive, family-owned sanctuary designed for discerning travelers.
Accommodating a maximum of 12 guests in six elegantly appointed suites as well as sleep out hide for the wild at heart, the lodge promises an intimate and personalized safari experience. The Lodge can only be booked out exclusively and comes with a private chef, private guide and team of staff to ensure your every want is catered for.
At the heart of Xidulu lies a sophisticated main area, featuring a curated bar, an open-plan kitchen where gourmet meals come to life, and spacious dining areas both inside and outside perfect for sharing stories of the day’s adventures. Unwind in the plush lounge by the crackling fireplaces or soak in the infinity pool with sweeping views over the hippos and crocodiles below in the dam.

About Makalali Private Game Reserve
The Greater Makalali Private Game reserve overlooks the majestic Drakensberg mountain range in the Limpopo Province. It is bisected by the perennial Makhutswi River, a tributary of the Olifant’s River, and includes approximately 10 km of the Selati River frontage.
The Reserve was established to promote the conservation of the land and wildlife within its boundaries.
The reserve covers 25 000 hectares and is home to the Big 5, with previously extirpated species including lion, elephant, rhino, hippo, cheetah, hyena and disease-free buffalo, being reintroduced. Leopard, brown hyena and the smaller mammal species as well as the endangered ground hornbill and the many threatened and endangered vulture and raptor species are present on the reserve.
