About Mziki Safari Lodge
Mziki Safari Lodge is an owner managed lodge and focuses on creating a relaxed, friendly environment that welcomes families with children of all ages allowed on the game drives. Mziki Safari Lodge is situated 2 hours from Johannesburg in a 6000ha private game reserve.
The main lodge building was completely rebuilt and reopened in July 2024, three new 2-bedroom family suites have been added. A cosy fire-place in middle of the new lodge with an indoor dining section, large lounge area with library and children’s corner plus a curio shop have been added. Mziki has an abundance of game on the Reserve with 4 of the Big 5 (no lions).
Cheetah and Sable Antelope have been re-introduced on the game reserve, with the Hex River running through the reserve, creating unique sundowner spots. Fishing is an extra activity and the junior ranger courses are very popular with children (and adults), as they learn about the environment and natural resources.
